Sarah Harman speaks at Witness parliamentary event

Sarah Harman spoke at the parliamentary event held by 'Witness' at the House of Commons on 31 January 2006.

'Witness' is a charity which supports patients who have suffered abuse by health professionals and carers.

The event was chaired by Phil Willis MP and attended by many representatives of the health regulators and also patients who had been abused, including clients of Harman and Harman who had been abused by David Britten and Clifford Ayling.

Sarah Harman emphasised "the need for training in all health and care sectors so that professionals can avoid situations were patients are likely to suffer abuse'.
